I sculpt, with a skewed eye, mostly everyday objects in clay and use the firing process of raku. The
raku I do is an Americanized version of the sixteenth-century Japanese ceramic process. The results
are never predictable, always imperfect and exciting.

Architecture at U.C. Berkeley, Interior Architecture at CCAC, and ceramics at College of Marin
comprise my formal educational background. Life in New Mexico and bay area funk artists are my
informal inspirations.
